Drives my husband crazy, but I actually love a good dose of winter weather. (Although not as much in an old wooden pier and beam house 😆) Snuggling with John, dogs and blankets. The absolute novelty of snow. Knowing all the mosquitoes are dead now. Hot tea with whisky and honey. I like some variety in life and love the changing of seasons. Each is so exciting when it first rolls round. And I'm not quite bored with winter yet. But soon will be so happy to see this old season end and the freshness of the next. 😄

I'm going to make it a priority to get my fireplace cleaned and inspected before next winter, which will make at least some difference in how I feel about it (I also have a good supply of wood from the trees that came down in my yard from the hurricane).

This has been a crazy winter here, not so much for the temperatures but more for the scarcity of snow. This is our 16th winter in northern Idaho, and we've got snow on the ground but much less than we usually have this time of year. Hope it continues to warm up for you. 🐈‍⬛

We're supposed to hit the 60s next week and I can't wait! In the meanwhile, I hope you get some more snow. That must be disconcerting when you're accustomed to it!

Sounds a bit like you've hit a spring thaw on the personal front if not the weather front. I, too, hate the cold and I will probably bitch about the heat come late August, but I'm ready for it now. Speaking of the coast of England, have you spent much time in Scotland? If so, I'd like to get your thoughts on must-sees. Also, your Oliver looks a lot like my Vinny.

Also, I think I've seen pics you've posted of Vinny and thought that very thing about Oliver!

If you can believe it, I've somehow never managed to get up to Scotland!

I'm surprised. Hope you make it someday. Scotland may be my favorite part of the British Isles. I feel so at home there.

I know! Somehow I keep not managing to make a trip up there. Although I am surprised at how many English people I know who have never been to Ireland.

I long for summer, too!! How I loved Twin Peaks, especially in that first season. My English profs at University of TN would talk about it in class. RIP.

It was such a phenomenon and it's so weird (but wonderful) to think that something so strange and uncompromising became so popular!

And yes, think summer thoughts...

That Lynch quote 😂

That aside, keep warm. Storm Eowyn sends its regards from across the ocean.

I know, isn't that quote the best? So very Lynch.

I hope Eowyn doesn't do too much damage where you are!
